This year’s festival is moving down the road from Shelswell Park into Hethe village.
By kind permission of Hethe Parish Council, Hethe Village Hall Committee and John Elkington we have a site which will better suit our requirements for this year.
In the village we will have the use of the village hall and playing field and a large area next to the site for car parking.
Hethe has a historic connection with the Shelswell Estate, which provided a living for most villagers in times past and was a venue for them to celebrate major events.
The plan for 2021 is to continue to grow the event and hopefully return to the park where we have a special and large area for our activities.
Several activities are being organised before the festival.
These include talks on one families experience of the Second World War and the history of Stowe gardens; a tour of Bicester Heritage; a patchwork workshop.
Places at all of these events will be limited, therefore early booking is advised!
Details of some re-enactors due to appear at the festival have been added here.
